Irene T. (Petrosky) Forte

Irene Forte, 93, of Allen Drive (formerly 869 N. Vine St.), passed away after a brief illness on Monday, May 16, 2016.

She was the daughter of Emil and Mary (Grazer) Petrosky.

Remembered for her generosity and warm smile, she loved music and history. She devoted her life to caring for others. She was an excellent cook, baker, and gardener; avid reader; and enjoyed spending summers with her family at her Lake Hauto cottage.

Preceding her in death were husband William M. Forte; siblings John and Leo Petrosky, and sister Maggie Milore.

Surviving are her beloved sister Elane Mussoline; daughters Arlene Karabetsos, Hazleton; Jean Price and husband David, Sugarloaf; Linda Forte and husband Chris Babb, Lancaster; and son Willie Forte, wife Dori, Wall, NJ. Also surviving are loving grandchildren David and Jonathan Price; Teddy and Laura Karabetsos; Paul, Matt, Chris, and Andy Torchia; Alexandria, William, Sophia and Nicholas Forte, great-granddaughter Mia, plus several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family invited to gather at the Brainerd Historic Church, 95 N. Main Street, off Rt. 93 N., past Frogtowne Grille, Sugarloaf, on Fri. May 27, 2016 for a memorial service at 10:15 a.m.  Book donations to the Hazleton Public Library in honor of Irene are welcomed by the family.
