Helen M. (Marzik) Kokinda

Helen M. Kokinda 85, of Hazle Twp. passed away Monday morning at the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton.
Born in Tomhicken, October 16, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Paul Marzik and Mary Marzik Lonoconis and had lived most of her life in Hazle Twp.
Helen worked in the Housekeeping Department for the Holiday Inn Hotel in Hazleton.  She was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother, and enjoyed cooking.
She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband George Kokinda; a son Steven Kokinda; a grandson Joseph Fluegel Jr.; two sisters Margie Gasper and Mary Vostock; a brother Paul Marzik Jr.; and her step-father John Lonoconis.
Surviving are four sons George M. and his wife Maruta, Eagle Rock; David and his fiancée Pamela Noble, Hazle Twp.; Mark and his wife Pam, Harwood; and Richard and his wife Renee, White Haven; three daughters Marie Chesko and her husband Tom, San Diego, CA; Carol Sabia, Drums; and Nance Fluegel and her husband Joseph, Plymouth; 11 Grandchildren; four Great-Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 10:30 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 West Butler Drive, Drums.
