George T. "Pigeon" Durange, Jr.

George T. “Pigeon” Durange, Jr., 43, of Freeland, passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning.

Born June 12, 1974 in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Thomas “Ringo” and Diane (Kislan) Durange.

George was a graduate of Freeland High School.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing pool.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents by his maternal grandparents, Bernard and Marie Kislan; paternal grandfather, Albert Durange; uncles, Albert “Butch” Durange and James Durange, and aunt, Donna (Durange) Katzor.

Surviving are his paternal grandmother, Marion (Miller) Durange, uncle, Dane Durange and his wife Mary Ann; aunt, Shirley (Durange) Hammel and her husband James; cousins, Denise (Durange) LeGrande, Anthony Durange, Sharon (Hammel) Jones, Timothy Durange, Melissa (Katzor) Loveland, David Durange, and Cassandra Durange.  Several extended family members also survive.

All services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.  Harman Funeral Homes and Crematory (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, assisted the family with the cremation.
