Garry Lee DeFrain, 58, of Hazleton, passed away early Sunday morning at his residence.
Born in Sugarloaf on July 4, 1958 he was the son of the late Paul A. and Elizabeth (L’Heault) DeFrain Sr. and had spent the last 15 years in Hazleton after moving from Sugarloaf.
Garry enjoyed hunting, fishing, music, and NASCAR, where his favorite driver was Tony Stewart.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents by a sister Helen Richardson.
Surviving are his wife the former Theresa Kirchner with whom he had been together for 16 years and married eight on July 16, 2016, two daughters Miranda DeFrain, North Carolina; and Courtney DeFrain, Berwick; brothers Paul A. DeFrain Jr. and his wife Joyce, West Hazleton; and Raymond DeFrain and his wife Elizabeth, McAdoo; two brothers in law Michael Kirchner and his fiancé Theresa, Beaver Meadows; and Frank Kirchner and his fiancé Arlene, Hazleton; several nieces and one nephew; and his loving pets, dog Nibbles, and cats Socks, Fluffy and Cuddles.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday at 10am in St. John Bosco R.C. Church, Sugarloaf. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6-8pm at Harman Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums.
