Eugene P. Curvey

Eugene P. Curvey, 86, of Hazlewood Apartments, Hazle Township, passed away Sunday afternoon at his home following a brief illness.

Born in Carlisle, June 6, 1931, he was the son of the late J.F.Clifford Curvey and Mary (Clay) Curvey, and spent the 11 years in Hazle Township after moving from Kiefer Avenue, Hazleton.

He had worked as an Auto Body Technician for the former Stephen Butcher Inc., Hazleton.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his wife the former Marie J. Muffley, who passed away July 30, 2013; a son Michael G, 1959; a sister Edith Mangan; and a brother Clifford Curvey.

Surviving are three children Dena M. Waskovich and her husband Stephen, Hazleton; Eugene M. Curvey and his wife Sandra, Melbourne, FL; and Mark A. Curvey and his wife Bertha, Hazleton; eight grandchildren, April, Brandi, Michael, Sarita, Alexa, Ciara, Laci, and Aimee; ten great grandchildren, Dylan, Austin, Caitlyn, Mackenzie, Paige, James, Jordan, Michael, Nick, and Kinga; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums.  Pastor Justin Clemins of Hazleton Community Church will officiate the services.  Burial will follow in Franklin Heights Memorial Park, East Weissport.  Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 9 am until the time of the service.
