Edward J. Kunkle

Edward J. Kunkle, 75, of Weatherly, passed away early Saturday morning at the Pavilion at Saint Luke Village, Hazleton.

Born in Mahanoy City, March 27, 1941, he was the son of the late Martin and Helen (Marsincavage) Kunkle.  

Edward was a Veteran of the US Army, graduated from Mahonoy City High School, attended Thaddeus Stevens College, and also became a master baker.  He was last employed as a mortgage broker at Flagstar Bank, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, baking, and gardening.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by and his brother Butch Kunkle.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, the former Linda Lee Graham of Weatherly; children Vicki Stack and her husband Jeff, Springfield, VA; Lori Bruce and her husband Jim, Alexandria, VA; Jon Kunkle and his wife Kelly, Plymouth, MA; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister Rita Bonner, Charlotte, NC; a niece Leanne Cryder and her husband BJ, Beaver Meadows, and several other nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 11 am from Harman Funeral Homes and Crematory Inc.(East) 669 W.
