E. Virginia Poltrok, 82, of Drums passed away early Thursday morning at Fritzingertown Senior Living Community where she had been a resident for the past four years.
Born in White Haven, June 5, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Samuel D. and Evelyn G (Jones) Meneeley Jr. and spent the past 50 years in Drums after moving from White Haven.
Before her retirement Virginia had been employed for over 25 years as the Branch Manager for the former Hazleton Nation Bank, Conyngham, and was a member of several banking organizations.
She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Conyngham and the church’s Lutheran Church Woman. She also enjoyed gardening.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband Albert H. Poltrok; a grandson Robbie Poltrok, Jr.; and a son-in-law Charles Martin.
Surviving are a son Robert B. Poltrok, Sr. and his wife Lynn, Drums; two daughters Nancy R. Stasko and her husband Timothy, Drums; and Anita L. Martin, Harpursville, NY; five grandchildren Kelly Germain and her husband Ryan; Jennifer Campbell and her husband Brian, Catherine Evelyn Sachs; Daniel L. Martin and his wife Brenda; and Deidre L. Martin; six great-grandchildren, Noah, Bryce, Jonathan, Clara, Landon, and Alexandria; a brother Ralph Meneeley, Bangor; and two sisters Miriam Kresge, East Side Boro; and Phyllis Mader and her husband Fred, Morrisville, four step grandchildren Debbie, Diane, Dawn, and Doreen and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 11 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory (East) 669 West Butler Drive, Drums. Burial will follow in Conyngham Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
