Cora P. Good, 72, of Sugarloaf, passed away early Monday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest following a lengthy illness.
Born in East Stroudsburg on July 11, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Savercool and Pearl Knorr and had spent the last 60 years in Sugarloaf after moving from White Haven.
Cora was a member of St. John’s UCC and worked as a cook at Cookie’s Café, Burger King, and Stewart’s. She enjoyed going out to eat with her family and loved all animals, especially her beloved pets.
She is survived by her loving husband of the past 53 years, Wilmer Good, three children, Tammy L. Good, Sugarloaf; Paul E. Good and his wife Erin, Milnesville; and Scott A. Good, Sugarloaf; a grandson, Josh Paonita and his wife Kim; a great-granddaughter, Jade Paonita; two sisters, Rose Marie Welsh and her husband Robert, Mt. Top; and Geraldine Kaminski, Kelayres; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service will take place Thursday at 7pm at Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory (East), 669 West Butler Drive, Drums. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 6pm until the time of service.
