Camille E. (Ganc) Zions

Camille E. Zions, 75, of Drums, passed away Thursday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown, following a lengthy battle with muscular dystrophy.

Born in Drums, August 11, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Beatrice (Broyan) Ganc, Jr. and spent most of her life in Drums.  She was a 1960 graduate of West Hazleton High School and a 1962 graduate of Empire Beauty School.  She was a licensed beautician.  She was the co-owner along with her husband of The Country Butcher Shop, and later worked in the kitchen and housekeeping departments for Penn State Hazleton Campus.  She was a member of St. John Bosco RC Church, Sugarloaf, and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking, and baking.

Camille was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a sister Cynthia Pecora.

Surviving are her husband John R. Zions, to whom she was married 54 years on July 6, 2017; a son John J. Zions; a daughter C. Marie Smith and her husband Steven; and a granddaughter Ava Smith, all of Drums; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. John Bosco RC Church, 573 State Route 93, Sugarloaf.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, 49 S. Hunter Highway, Drums.  Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday evening 6-8 pm.  A Christian Wake Service will be held Sunday evening.
