C. David Boyer, 68, formerly of Beaver Meadows, passed away Monday evening at the Pavilion at St. Luke Village following a two-year illness.
Born in Coaldale, October 21, 1946, he was the son of the late Clarence H. and Madlyn (Berk) Boyer. He was a 1964 graduate of Weatherly High School and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He was a six year veteran of the US Marine Corps Reserve.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his step-mother Ruth D. Boyer; and a brother-in-law Robert P. Brighthaupt, Sr.
Surviving are a son David E., White Haven; a daughter Melissa Calhoon and her husband Jesse, Grand Junction, CO; a sister Gretchen Brighthaupt, Sugarloaf; a step-brother Donald Van Horne, Cherry Hill, NJ; a step-sister Betty Makowiec and her husband Martin, Weatherly; and a nephew Robert P. Brighthaupt, Jr., his wife Kimberlie, and their son Robert III, Bloomsburg.
A graveside service will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua.
