Betty Jane Kaylor, 93, of Rock Glen, passed away early Sunday morning at Butler Valley Manor, Drums following a brief illness.
Born in Mt. Grove on February 19, 1923, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Mildred (McManoman) Hutton and spent the last 60 years in Rock Glen after moving from the Nanticoke area.
Betty was a member of the Trinity UCC Church, Rock Glen, where she was active in many church functions. She enjoyed playing cards and was a member of the ladies auxiliary for VFW Nescopeck.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband Freas Kaylor, a daughter Sandra Ann Kaylor, brothers and sisters William Hutton, Loretta Marsyada, Thelma Kaiser, Harry Hutton, Dalbert Hutton, Brady Hutton, two granddaughters, Tara and Marla Zajac, and a great-granddaughter Kristi Travechak.
Surviving are her daughter Freda Zajac and her husband Tom, Dorrance; grandchildren Debbie Sipple, Hanover; Yvonne Zajac, FL; Angela Zajac, SC; Tom Zajac Jr., McAdoo; two sisters Clara Fergueson, ME; Marie Appichella, Hazleton; 11 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 11 am from Harman Funeral Homes and Crematory Inc. (West) 1265 Rock Glen Rd., Rock Glen. The Reverend Louis Aita will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10am until the time of service.
