Anna Mae (Wolchko) Bobby

Anna Mae Bobby, 84, of Drums, passed away Thursday evening at Providence Place, Drums.

Born in Hazleton on September 9, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Stershec) Wolchko.  Anna Mae had been a resident of Drums for the past 17 years, previously residing in Jeddo.

Anna Mae worked as a seamstress in local garment factories in Freeland, and as a homemaker.  She is preceded in death by an infant brother Andrew, brothers Edward, Daniel, John, Michael, David and George Wolchko, and sisters Mary Banyas, Betty Ritsko, and Helen Shenosky.

She is survived by a son, Dr. Vincent Bobby, Drums; a brother Joseph Wolchko, Milwaukee, WI; numerous nieces and nephews including Edward Wolchko and his wife Sandy; Debra Wolchko; Barbara Bobby and her husband Edward; Mary Petrick; Michael Ritsko and his wife Susan; Mark Ritsko; and others in Philadelphia and Virginia.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 am from Harman Funeral Homes and Crematory (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums.  Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial will follow at 10am from St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 643 Fern Street, Freeland.  Visitation will take place on Monday evening from 6 to 8pm at Harman Funeral Homes and Crematory (East) with a Parastas Service at 7pm.
